What is Parelli "Natural Horse-Man-Ship"?

"Natural Horsemanship is a way to be with and teach horses using communication, psychology and understanding rather than mechanics, fear and intimidation."             Pat Parelli

The Parelli system is a logical, safe and systematic plan that teaches people how to relate with horses and to teach them, to solve problems and to prevent problems, and to reach goals.  "Horse-Man-Ship" is written this way to remind us that this program is about a horse and a human in a ship together on a journey towards a special relationship.

Play Through the Winter

"Play Days" are times set aside for people and their horses to gather together for learning, support and fun.  All dates will be held at Majestic Meadow Stables unless otherwise dictated by the weather.  Then we will meet at Wolf Mountain on Lawyers Road in Spotsylvania by Lake Anna.  Pam Knight, now a 2 Star instructor, will still be giving lessons and directing our play.  Please register in advance so we may contact you with last minute changes.

 

What You'll Need

Your horse with recent coggins or rent one of ours, rope halter, carrot/friendly stick, and a $20 ground's fee.  Don't forget your saddle, saddle pad & helmet.  Remember to dress for the weather; the arena and play yard are outdoors!  You will have access to all facilities at Majestic Meadow Stables;  2 round pens, arena with obstacles, play yard, wash stall, and trails.

  • Feb  19   1 - 4 pm 
  • Mar  18   1 - 4 pm

Bonnie & M'Lady Faire creating some audience "draw" for demo's on Natural Horsemanship & Natural Riding during the "Culpeper farm Tour Days" at the CFC Farm & Home Center.  See us this year the first weekend in October from 10 am - 4 pm.  also starring Kristen with her wonderhorse Eli, Rhonda with Stormy and Chamios.  We can't forget about "Lil' Britches" in the petting zoo!  Demo's are done at 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm.  It's free and a great time for all.  Join us and see what "Natural" can do for you.
